




Just had a chance to head to Prince Rupert on business and took the photo gear along, of course. I really like going down there as the drive from Smithers to Rupert has to be one of the most scenic drives in BC. Following the Skeena river most of the way with mountains rising thousands of feet on either side of the river is amazing.
The stock photo opportunites in Prince Rupert are pretty varied. The scenic shots of the Skeena are on the shooting list as are the Ridley Island industry shots, the new container terminal, the waterfront area downtown, and the usual assortment of commercial fishing boats. Rupert also has quite a population of blacktail deer....almost too many I gather as in the winter time wolves are drawn into town and have caused some concern.
I was also lucky to have sunny weather on the coast which added to the trip.Couple more pix in the next post
